And at the centre of this change is a revised EV Policy, which is currently awaiting the Cabinet nod. So, back in August 2020, they rolled out this Electric Vehicle (EV) policy, hoping to get 25% of all vehicles sold to be EVs by 2024. It was supposed to last for 3 years. Well, now that December has come and gone, the extension is up, and officials are still waiting to see if they’re going to give it another round of time.

Chairman Mukesh Ambani pledged the group’s support in propelling Gujarat to become a global leader in green development, a move with far-reaching implications for the state and India’s renewable energy landscape.  During the opening of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit on January 10, Ambani further stated that during the previous 10 years, Reliance has invested over $150 billion, or Rs 12 lakh crore, in building world-class assets and capacities throughout India. He said that about one-third of money has been invested in Gujarat.
